I.
Section I · introduction

The house rules.

These terms set out the basis on which you may use this website and our online services — reservations, takeaway, gift cards, the newsletter. By using any of them you agree to be bound by these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

These terms don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer under English law.

Section II · who we are

About us.

This site is operated by Mumtaz Restaurant Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales. Our trading and registered address is 386–410 Great Horton Road, Bradford BD7 3HS, United Kingdom.

You can reach us by phone on 01274 571 861 or by email at info@mumtaz.org.uk.

III.
Section III · using the site

Using the site.

You may use this site to view our menu, story and information, to reserve a table, to place a takeaway order and to buy a gift card. You agree to use it lawfully and not to:

  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
  • Use it for any commercial or competitive purpose without our permission
  • Attempt to bypass or interfere with the site's security or functionality
  • Reproduce, scrape or republish substantial portions of the content
  • Upload anything unlawful, harmful, defamatory or that infringes another person's rights

We may modify or suspend the site at any time without notice — for maintenance, security or any other reasonable reason.

IV.
Section IV · reservations

Reservations.

Reservations are managed through our booking partner, SevenRooms. When you make a reservation you'll be subject to their terms in addition to ours.

Confirming & cancelling

Your reservation is confirmed when you receive an email confirmation. You can cancel or modify it at any time up to two hours before your booking via the link in the confirmation, or by calling the team on 01274 571 861.

Deposits & large parties

For groups of eight or more, or for certain peak dates, we may take a small deposit at the time of booking. This is refunded against your bill on the night. Full terms on deposits are sent in the confirmation email.

Late arrivals & no-shows

We hold tables for fifteen minutes past the reserved time. After that, we may release the table to walk-ins. Repeated no-shows may result in a polite request for a deposit for future bookings.

Children

We are a family restaurant — children of all ages are warmly welcome. Highchairs are available; please let us know in your booking notes.

Section V · parking & ANPR

Parking at the restaurant.

Our car park is fitted with ANPR (automatic number-plate recognition) cameras and is managed on our behalf by HOZAH, an independent third-party car-park management company.

Registering your visit

To avoid a Parking Charge Notice ("PCN"), guests must register their full vehicle number plate on the tablet provided inside the restaurant within 20 minutes of arriving on site. Failure to register within this window — or to register at all — may result in a PCN being issued by HOZAH against the registered keeper of the vehicle.

Maximum stay

Registered vehicles may remain in the car park for a maximum of 5 hours from the time of registration. Vehicles remaining beyond this limit may also be issued a PCN by HOZAH.

Who issues PCNs

PCNs are issued by HOZAH, not by Mumtaz Bradford. Mumtaz Restaurant Ltd is not a party to any parking charge and cannot cancel, waive or refund a PCN. Any appeal, query or dispute about a parking charge must be directed to HOZAH using the contact details printed on the PCN itself, or via hozah.com.

If you forgot to register

If you realise during your visit that you have not registered your plate, please speak to a member of the team before you leave and we will do our best to assist. We cannot guarantee retrospective registration once you have left the site.

By parking on our car park, you accept the terms set by HOZAH as displayed on the signage around the car park. Those terms are independent of, and in addition to, these Terms of Service.

VI.
Section VI · takeaway & delivery

Takeaway orders.

Online takeaway and delivery orders are processed through our partner Slerp. When you place an order through Slerp you'll be subject to their terms in addition to ours.

Pricing & availability

Prices and availability on the takeaway platform may vary from prices in the restaurant. We do our best to keep both up to date but reserve the right to correct errors. If a dish becomes unavailable after you've ordered, we'll contact you to substitute or refund.

Allergens

Detailed allergen information is available on request and on the Slerp ordering platform. If you have a severe allergy, please call the team on 01274 571 861 before ordering. While we take great care, our kitchen handles all of the fourteen major allergens — we cannot guarantee that any dish is fully free of cross-contact.

Refunds

If something is wrong with your order — missing, damaged or not as described — please contact us within 24 hours of receiving it. We'll make it right.

VII.
Section VII · gift cards

Gift cards.

Gift cards are issued through our partner Giftpro. Each card has a unique code, a value in GBP, and is redeemable in the restaurant against food and drink.

  • Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated
  • They are not exchangeable for cash and cannot be used to purchase further gift cards
  • Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced — please treat them like cash
  • Unused balance after a redemption remains on the card and may be used on subsequent visits within the validity period
VIII.
Section VIII · content & intellectual property

Content & IP.

The Mumtaz name, logo, photography, copy, recipes (in their written form) and design of this website are owned by us, our staff and our suppliers, and protected by UK copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce or republish any of this material for commercial purposes without our written permission.

You may share links to the site and photograph your own meal as a guest. Tag us — we love it.

IX.
Section IX · liability

Limits of liability.

We work hard to make sure everything on this site is accurate, but we can't guarantee it's free from errors. The site is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude any implied warranties.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with this site or any online service shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) for the relevant booking, order or gift card.

X.
Section X · third parties

Third-party services.

This site links to and integrates with services operated by third parties — SevenRooms, Slerp, Giftpro, HOZAH, Wix, payment processors and our social channels. We aren't responsible for the content or practices of these third parties, and your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

XI.
Section XI · governing law

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms or the use of the website will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. If you are a consumer based in another part of the UK, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

XII.
Section XII · talk to us

Talk to us.

Any question about these terms — or anything else — is best handled by a quick phone call or email.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, the new version will replace the previous one and the "effective" date at the top will change. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
